Neglect/abuse

We trust people to treat us with compassion, love, and care.  Sadly, some take advantage of that trust and turn it into abuse or neglect.
Two of the most common types of abuse are:

  • Physical
  • Emotional

Unfortunately, physical abuse is not uncommon.  This horrible kind of abuse includes beatings, sexual assault, and other kinds of abuse that jeopardize the health and safety of others.

Emotional abuse is more difficult to recognize, but can impact a person just as much as any other type of abuse.  Still, when one experiences threats, humiliation, isolation, humiliation, and degradation, the effects will become apparent over time.  If you suspect abuse, it is wise to investigate for peace of mind and for the well being of the ones you love.  It is very important to contact one of our attorneys as soon as possible if you think someone you know and love is being abused or neglected.
Shon Cook Law  has experience representing clients who have been accused of child abuse or neglect, both in the family court and the criminal court. If you have a child abuse or neglect case pending with the court you should contact our attorneys right away.
